In early January 2007 MTB Freeride Club was handed over to a new commitee. They made the decision to close the club after 4 years and to open a new organisation called UK Bike Park.
By the end of Febuary we hope to have all assets, monies raised and membership details handed over to UK Bike Park. They are currently in control and are just waiting on the paper work catching up. The MTB Freeride Commitee unanimously agreed to let UK Bike Park take over completely. The commitee has since been desolved. There are no plans for the club to be run by commitee in the future. Apart from that it's ever onwards and upwards as before.
At UK Bike Park's request the club section of this web site, the online membership area and the Club/Park section of the forum are to be removed, I was hopping to be able to support this but the guys want to have a fresh start and do things there way. This is because they have decided to have a new web site to repersent the Park in a more proffesional manner concentrating solely on Okeford Hill. The new web site can be found at ukbikepark.com.
On behalf of all past members of MTB Freeride Club I would like to wish the new owners of UK Bike Park (MTB Freeride Club) the best of luck to the future of Okeford Hill and all that ride and dig there.
