i was born in auckland but grew up in wellington then kerikeri (northland) then lived in auckland for the last 8 years. whats the singlespeed scene like here mainly on or off road? many tracks open to bikes? from what ive seen the ground is quite sandy, like woodhill. nice.

We have quite a lot of permanent trails for mountainbikers. Riding outside those trails is in most regions forbidden. In the area around Utrecht (to the east and north-east) you"ll find some nice trails.
SSing in the Netherlands is small. You might think that SSing in a flat country isn"t much fun. But we have enough trails that are anything BUT flat that make SSing more than enough fun.
You"re welcome to join us when we organize a ride. Watch this forum for the next dates.
Re:from new zealand.
welcome! Where are you in Holland, most big cities have a route/course or have one closeby.
Just like DeKerfs said watch this space for meetings. We should do one soon I guess with about every poster around here, it"s about time we all meet up in real life.
Maybe we should do Rhenen as a large group meet? But with everyone attending should get about 15-20 peeps now easily.
Plan ahead, pick a date and put it on as sticky?
