Shouldn"t be to hard to get those pics published. You"re good! I am a photographer myself, but i"ld have to get quite some practice to get pictures like these! :P

Do you use the continues shoot mode so you can choose the best foto? Or do you have a 1/2000 shuttertime or how do you get such perfect pictures with the bikers in the middle of the picture and that kind of stuff ???

I mean.... bikers are (very) fast moving objects how do you get them on the picture like this?

My experience with the 10D is overall very positive, great image quality, good build quality, excellent flexibility (the ability of digital SLRs to change ISO speed on the fly is great). My only complaint is that the AF is not consistent enough for head-on shots (rider coming towards you, e.g. http://www.nobrakes.ch/photos/villars20 ... esized.jpg), particularly if the light is low (it can miss approx. 50% of the shots).

The fisheye works great with the 1.6 ratio, actually it"s the only means to have something a little bit wide... Unfortunately you you don"t get a 180° coverage anymore... The shots below were taken with the fisheye so that you get an idea of the frame coverage on a digital SLR :

On my camera, the continuous mode is too slow (3 pics per second) to give good sequences, in addition I"m often shooting with the flash and it needs several seconds to recharge between shots. Therefore, the solution is to press the shutter at the right time. For this, you need to practice a lot.

I"ve found that with experience I"m cropping less and less. For example, in my last gallery (at Buttes), 6 shots out of 29 are slightly cropped (file size betbeen 30.1-34.4MB whereas a non cropped shot takes 36.2MB). In the Morgins gallery, 4 shots out of 38 are cropped. Often when the rider is too centered I will crop a little bit behind him so that he has more space in front of him, giving a more dynamic picture.

Beautiful. You must be realy ugly or a great pain in the arsch if you can"t get in the magezins with pictures like these. They are simply perfect (in my eyes).

@Shabok: Thanks for the info on the 10D. I"m going to buy one. I hope I"ll manage to finance it without trading in my EOS 1n ... If I have the money I might go for the Sigma 15-30 mm zoom lens . Not sure about that yet though. Will my flash (540 EZ) do anything with the EOS 10D (like under- or overexpose) or do i have to buy another flash immediately?

The 540EZ will work on the 10D in manual output power only. TTL and A-TTL are not available because you can"t meter off the film plane. Therefore, If you"d like a TTL-like functionality on the 10D you"ll need a flash that supports E-TTL, like the 550EX, 420EX and all other EX-Series flashes.
