Rotterdam Bike-Spot !!!

Dear All,
please participate in this Poll and tell us if you would like to have a BikeSpot in Rotterdam. We are thinking about a central place for all Bikers of Rotterdam and Area to excercise, meet up and celebrate their sport. It could be a Dirtline, 4x and more. Just tell us if you would like to have one or not. This will allow us to asses the demand and figure out how we can achieve a BikeSpot in Rotterdam for all of us.

as we discussed today, I'd start with dirtlines (simple and advanced) and a pumptrack /bmx racetrack/dualtrack kind of thing like in Dortmund thats usable for all mtbers (dh, fr, 4x, trails, park/streetriders)..

some kind of north shore slopestyle park would be damn sick

kinda skatepark but with moslty slopestyle elements! but made of concrete, metal sucks, (wood would be okay too), and not dirt because it needs to be reshaped too many times and it makes yor bike dirty which street riders hate :P

yes and a very big vert, a foampit and maybe a downhill track on an artificial mountain as well..

keep it realistic please, think about how many mtb/bmx riders there are in rotterdam compared to the amount of skaters and the only real skatepark here is blaak which sucks compared to what the hague, utrecht and amsterdam have.

i.e. there's no way the council will give enough money to realise that.

or we would have to build it ourself but for obvious reasons that's even less realistic.

what i ment was like a skatepark, but with a kinda step-up (quarterpipe and a 1m high ledge above it, step down, and a wallride

must be realistic if it's designed well, and it doesn't have to be big, it's just a regular park but with a few 'unusual' elements

do you seriously think the council will build such a complicated, expensive park for the 3 mtbers and maybe 10 bmxers in rotterdam when they haven't built anything for the roughly 500 skaters/bmxers/fruitbooters who have been begging them to replace blaak with something decent for years?

if they would give us a patch of land alongside the railway or under the 'kleinpolderplein' to build a little pumptrack on you should be really happy..
