Mt St Anne was off the hook as usual, crowds were a little slimmer than previous years, but still a great event. Then it was the start of the Cannonball run, where all the teams have to race across the entire continent to setup for Calgary-thanks organisers. It worked out though. Biggest news for me anyway, here in Calgary is the return of my guy, Brian Lopes. After missing all of last season, and the beginning of this season, his long awaited return is back. But it is a double whammy-he is doing the DH as well. He practiced all day today and had a lot of fun on the short course, then went over and did some 4X practice. Looked great. Calgary Herald did a big story on him, and Velonews called me to confirm the rumors of his return. The kids were lined up out side the GT/HYUNDAI pit waiting for autographs, it was awesome-and the race has not even began. Thats all I got for you, frickin exausted, after that 3.5 day drive, and working all day for Lopes and Yo T Wells, I am knackered. Oh, wish you could see Peaty"s leg...it is the most grusome thing I have ever seen. He has the blackest bruise surrounding his entire quad. It is from the practice crash he had right before the finals-in which he won...amazing. DH course is short, minute twenty I would guess, 4X is LONG and FAST. Weather is unpredictable, all u can eat Sushi is good for now, more on that in the morning, I dont know what else to tell you. Stikman out.
