1994 Koga Miyata SkyMonocoque
The SkyMonocoque is one of three "monocoque" frames developed in close cooperation with German aerospace company Donier. The other two were the roadbike FullProMonocoque and a advanced hybrid concept with variable seatangle. Only the MTB and the roadbike went into production.
The frame actually isn"t a monocoque as it is made out of two shells that are glued together. I have never seen one, what probably has a lot to do with that the bike can be considered very rare. It was sold at the same price as the 1994 SkyExpension. Specs were also pretty similar: Showa front suspension, XTR and many ITM parts.
